In just two weeks, our immersive course, curated and taught by our Technical Training Manager, will equip you with the practical skills and expert knowledge to tackle autolocksmith jobs with confidence.

What is covered in the course?

Week 1

Non-destructive entry into vehicles, teaching how to pick and decode vehicle locks. Other entry methods include rod equipment entry.

Principles of an autolocksmith and introduction to the tooling covering the following:

• How to research and find the correct resources, including the right parts for the vehicle
• Make up of key types and how they operate
• Understanding transponders
• How we use the tooling to read and clone transponders
• How to use the key cutting machine
• Understanding of universal remotes
• Introduction to programming equipment and how you use OSCA

Week 2

Practical application of skills. This second week will be carried out on rigs and live vehicles, allowing you to put into practice what you learned in week one and more. This will cover:

• Key cutting
• Picking and decoding locks
• Universal remote generation
• How and why we use battery support
• Spare and lost key programming on a variety of vehicles with aftermarket and universal remotes.

Gain industry recognition: Our course is fully accredited by the Institute of Motor Industry (IMI). Upon passing your assessment, you'll receive an official certificate and enjoy a complimentary one-year membership, opening pathways to new opportunities.

We also offer equipment packages to get you started in the industry, along with ongoing technical assistance if required.
